Learning Management Services

We currently provide products and Subject Matter Expert services to: MARCORSYSCOM, Quantico, VA, U. S. Navy Research and Development Program, Chemical Biological Defense Joint Program Executive Office, (CDB JPEO) and U. S. Marine Forces deployed, to provide technically competent personnel who can address and manage technical and training programs for Metrology and CNRN-D systems. We provide a Learning Management System (LMS) web portal, performance based courseware as a Distance Learning solution for the Metrology (Calibration) and CBRN-D equipment for all U. S. Marine Corps CBRN-D personnel. We provide a team of Weapon System Support Management (WSSM) functions to Marine Corps Logistics Command, Product Support Center in support of over 700 individual Product Group-16 acquisitions. The tams responsibilities include but are not limited to IIP process development, catalog process mapping, IDEF Modeling of logistics chain processes, Lifecycle Sustainment plans, Sparing processes, Master Work/ELMP schedule vetting, (over 15 Mil in FY-11), development of relationships with external government organizations. Post IOF war effort RESET activities for the USMC resulted in all the leftover equipment being scheduled for DRMS activities. Creative NS personnel developed a process by with which these items were sent to DHS. This recycling of $15 million of our tax dollars back into public infrastructure is an example of our diverse and capable staff. Our staff’s experience, also allows for the rapid development of training courseware to meet specific or generic training requirements. In some cases, training has been delivered to the customer and accepted in 30 days. The value in the LMS is that training can be documented, evaluated and monitored by the customer to see the entire scope of the training progression over time and in real time. Training can also be augmented by our on site instructor staff to train individuals or groups or conduct performance based assessments or drills.

Training can be delivered in web form through the LMS, paper copy, CD ROM based instruction or all three methods. Additionally, annual training requirements can be met, monitored by command training staff, and modified to reflect where training is most effective, and where the capability gaps or opportunities exist across the entire training community. This balanced scorecard approach allows the customer concentrate their time towards those areas that require attention. Our LMS courseware is developed to be SCORM 2 compliant. This means other U.S. Government agencies can also use this training since it adheres to the SCORM standard. Electronic record jackets assist the civilian or government training manager in seeing either the individual employee or the enterprise of employees requiring training, training completed (to include off duty (college, CEUs, symposia, etc.) in a Balanced Scorecard environment. This colorimetric association (Red, Yellow, Green), allows training managers and responsible personnel to efficiently utilize their time in addressing only those emergent training requirements. The LMS courses also can be rapidly changed for emergent course changes mandated by the customer. Each student receives the same learning experience globally. This saves customers dwindling travel dollars while still effectively training and documenting personnel training requirements. Students can access training from any web based workstation without paying for airfare, hotels, rental cars, etc.

We are currently providing performance support to the U. S. Marine Corps by providing Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) sustainment training as well as augment new equipment training through use of LMS customized sustainment and new equipment training modules.

NS Software Services has a courseware conversion contract with the Army Special Forces at Fort Bragg, converting the Psychological Operations, Regional Studies, and the Civil Affairs Officer courses to Distance Learning. We also provide Hardware and Software support to Defense Automatic Addressing System Center (DAASC) Wright-Patterson, AFB, Ohio.
